There are Several Games and Sports in the world and in our country which traditionally and conventionally are very popular like KABBADI, CRICKET, CHESS, GOLF, RACQUETBALL etc. but they are not finding enough support to find place in a OLYMPIC CHAPTER. Although to carter to the needs of such NON OLYMPIC GAMES &SPORTS several individual organization have been constituted. At this juncture a need was felt to provided and constitute an Umbrella Organization to pool the individual efforts and resource for enhancing the status and image to so call NON PLYMPIC GAMES. The constitution of international Non-Olympic Committee (INOC) was a possibility because of untiring efforts of Shri Mohd. Seraj Ansari, Secretary General, INOC on 25th March 1997. A steps further was taken on 12th March, 2000 and Indian Chapter of Non-Olympic Association was Constituted under the PRESIDENTSHIP OF RETIRED CHIEF JUSTICE OF INDIA, JUSTICE SRI. K. N. SINGH.
